Is it ever too late to pay for a crime? While some Nazi officials and collaborators were brought to trial at the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg and other courts in the mid– to late– 1940s, they only represented a fraction of those responsible for the Holocaust. As the years passed, the global legal community largely lost interest in pursuing the remaining perpetrators.
